Since the beginning of the full-scale war, russia has carried out 796 cyber attacks against Ukraine. This is three times more than in the same period last year. [2]

One of the vectors of cyber attacks is phishing. Any preparation for a cyber attack is a penetration into the system. And phishing is the most widespread vector – it is used in the implementation of about 60-70% of cyber attacks. Yuriy Shchygol, head of the State Intelligence Service, notes that a phishing attack poses a threat to both individuals and state systems. Therefore, it is important that both civil servants and all ordinary citizens of Ukraine understand the dangers of phishing emails and observe the rules of cyber hygiene. [3]

Hackers who attack Ukraine are financed by russia. Yuriy Shchygol reports: «The hackers who attack us, try to destroy Ukrainian infrastructure, are financed by the russian state. 90% of hacker groups in the russian Federation belong to the security forces. These are the Main Office of the General Staff  and the FSB». [2]

Against the background of constant cyber attacks, Ukraine is becoming more and more resilient in the digital space. Currently, Ukrainian systems are protected, thanks to the professionalism of our specialists and international cooperation. [2]

Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the russian Federation, the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized more than 1,000 hacker attacks and cyber incidents organized by the occupiers against the IT systems of strategically important objects of Ukraine.

In addition, almost one and a half thousand russian Internet resources, which the enemy used to carry out information sabotage and spread Kremlin propaganda, were blocked. [4]
