Despite russia’s war against Ukraine, which has been going on for almost three years, the Global Cyber Cooperative Center (GC3) continued its work, remaining true to its mission — to play the role of an integration platform for meaningful interaction between Ukrainian and international creators of safe cyberspace.
In 2024, GC3 actively contributed to strengthening Ukraine’s cybersecurity and expanding international cooperation in the field of cyber defense. The main areas of the organization’s work were the study programs, support for members and partners of the center, development of the strategic initiatives and the international partnership.
One of the important initiatives of GC3 was the strategic leadership program “Sophos. Joint. Cyber 2.0”, carried out jointly with the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. The program consisted of four modules, each of which was dedicated to important aspects of strategic management in cyberspace:
The first module was focused on the role of design, its development and implementation in strategizing systems.
The second module was focused on modeling systems in cyberspace, including the analysis of cybernetic architecture and strategic design.
The third module considered creating relationships in various fields – from music to eSports, as well as the role of women in cyberspace.
The fourth module concluded the program with the topic “The Art of Asymmetry”, summarizing the achievements of the participants in the study of strategies during the war.
Also, in 2024, we completed a training project within the framework of the “CRYPTOEDGE” program for cyberspace investigators, organized with the support of the INL (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs) of the Embassy of the United States of America in Kyiv. During the study project, the participants mastered analytical search methods, the use of OSINT tools for crypto investigations, and analysis of the movement of virtual assets.
In addition to educational programs, GC3 co-organized several important events to support the Cyber Police Department of Ukraine. As a result, events were held to develop strategic leadership in cyber police, dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Department’s creation, and an internal conference “Shaping the Image of Cyber Police”, aimed at developing a strategy for the transformation of cyberpolice by 2025. The initiatives were supported by the OSCE Office in Ukraine.
As a part of international cooperation, GC3 representatives participated as keynote speakers at the Disruption 24 conference in Pittsburgh, the USA, where they presented Ukraine’s unique experience in building a cyber ecosystem during wartime. GC3 also organized the event “Ukraine: Self-Awareness”, dedicated to the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which brought together key partners of Ukraine – representatives of diplomatic institutions, cyber police leadership and other international partners. During the event, further joint steps towards victory over the enemy were adopted.
The year was difficult and eventful, we spent it with faith in victory and with gratitude to all the defense forces who gave us the opportunity to live and create.
