Strategic Session with the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The strategic session was held under the coordination of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, dedicated to the preparation of the legislative framework for the circulation of weapons in Ukraine – this is a monumental milestone in the creation of an effective security system.

Volodymyr Pavelko acted as an OSCE national expert in this interaction.

The purpose of the meeting was to develop a Strategy and Action Plan to Counteract the Illicit Circulation of Firearms, Their Parts and Components, and Ammunition. The document is being prepared for submission to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Expert support from international organizations ensures that future legislation complies with European standards.
