Taking part of GC3 in CyberAccelerator – the first Ukrainian event to support cybersecurity startups

The Global Cyber Cooperative Center GC3 is taking part in CyberAccelerator – the first Ukrainian event to support cybersecurity startups. This is a program from SocialBoost implemented within the USAID project «Cyber Security – Critical Infrastructure of Ukraine».

CyberAccelerator was launched in December last year and will last for three months. In the competition of nine teams, GC3 presented its own product, «Online Fraud Prevention». This product has been designed to aggregate and analyze databases to respond quickly and to counter cyber fraud.

The GC3 team received methodological support from the International and Ukrainian experts. In the future, GC3 will have access to profile funds and grants, as well as pilot projects with the government agencies. In accordance with the guidelines, GC3 participants prepared a package of documents for working with potential investors. Training is still ongoing, Demo Day will take place in March 2022.

According to the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, the number of cyber attacks on the public and private sectors increases by 10-12% every quarter. By participating in this program, all graduates will be able to help Ukrainian government to strengthen cyber resilience.

Cyber Accelerator is the first Ukrainian event for small and medium-sized IT businesses, created to accelerate the development of the Ukrainian cybersecurity market. The US Government provides comprehensive support to Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity, in particular through the 4-year USAID project «Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure of Ukraine». This project is aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s cyber resilience through systemic reforms, building Ukraine’s human resources in the field of cybersecurity, and partnering with the private sector.
